Dan Banks - Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Songwriter
Dan is more or less a native of SW Florida, originally hailing from Pennsylvania. After picking up the guitar at the tender age of 19, he's tried to make the best of putting his stuff down, and out to the world. His songwriting is honest and driven on life experience- and honors the songrwriters he's gotten to work with over the years, namely Mike Blasucci.
Dan performed both as a solo act and in a duo with Mike from 2002-2005, in SW Florida. Those were fun days, but the seductive covers of Jimmy Buffett started to become a little "dull", and terribly predictable.
After re-thinking the job, and bumping into Matt Baxley one day, we come to the present tense. A moment where the Original Music is all that really matters.
Dan hopes his music helps you in some way, as it helps him to put it out. Everyone just wants to be heard....right?
Matt Baxley - Drums, Bass, Keys, Guitar, Vocals, Engineering
Matt Baxley comes from East Tennessee, near the beautiful Smoky Mountains, where he lived for the first twenty years of his life, until he decided a change of scenery was needed...how he ended up in SW Florida is somewhat of a mystery, even to him, but one never knows what twists and turns life may take.
Matt is well-known in some circles as the electronic/funk musician and producer named MooT BooXLé, particularly for his use of an instrument known as the Talk Box - the one made famous by Peter Frampton and others.
He met Dan at a coffee house gig through Mike Blasucci, a mutual friend...and the rest, as they say, is history...but this is a history that is still being written.
Matt brings to the music of Banks-Baxley his varied stylistic influences, his proficiency at multiple instruments, and his technical skill...together he and Dan Banks make up a songwriting-production-performing force to be reckoned with - a sound that is at once fresh, yet familiar at the same time.
